Google has launched AuthorRank, a new way of ranking authors based on their quality of writing, to rank higher in search results. Signing up can have a lot of benefits if you are a webmaster and want your site to rank high. Unfortunately, spammers, you have to be out of the way. Sorry!

The page is currently at http://plus.google.com/authorship. Signing up will require a Google+ profile, with your ACTUAL photo in the profile picture. We tested it out and found Google has installed a face detector, meaning that if you put a nice holiday beach pic, Google won't accept you. For me, I am a verified Author and registered with Google+. I originally run http://iis-india.blogspot.com, and I wanted to run another, so here I have opened another blog for geeks.

I hope it helps all webmasters like me. See you all soon!

Google's new AuthorRank

You think Command Prompt as a child's toy, as it seems to have no value. What can it do, you think. After all, it is text-based. But the reality is you are underestimating the power of CMD (Command Prompt). Did you know that Command Prompt can shutdown remote computers in a LAN network.. (or any network, though it is suggested you don't try out that)

You got it right. Shutdown via CMD. Here are the steps..

(a) Open CMD. If you are on XP, Go to Start > Run >cmd.exe. If you are on 7 or Vista, go to Search box, type cmd and hit Enter.
(b) Type netstat for the entire network or netstat -n for active established protocols.
(c) Type shutdown -i
(d) Add the computer names and reason
(e) You're done!

Utilising Command Prompt

Problem: Monitor is blank.

Question: How to fix this? I'm dying without my monitor!

Easy fix: Go behind your monitor, push the plugs hard in your monitor. It is possible and it does happen because of pressure.

Still not working? It may be because...

(a) Your monitor is not working, it is broken
(b) Video card problem
(c) Hard Drive crash.

It is advised you go to a computer technician and ask for help if even banging the plugs at the rear doesn't help.

Nothing's being shown on my monitor
