Benefits of Cloud Computing

If you are reading this article now, chances are you are eager to open a account in one of DropBox, or Google Drive, or any other cloud service provider's website. So what exactly is this cloud computing? Let's begin.

Cloud Computing, in simple terms is storing your files and documents on another remote computer, called a server. The server is safely storing your documents and also others, and is backed up. So in case there is a data loss in your computer or you forgot your laptop or pen-drive at home and need documents urgently, the only option that can truly help is Cloud Computing. With Cloud Computing, you can access your files wherever and whenever you want to.

Another benefit is that there are much less chances of the data at the server centers (or data centers) to be wiped out. This is not technically impossible, but chances are scarce. This is due to the fact that the Servers are checked and maintained regularly by the staff, and the data is secured by having a back up for every individual server. It is cool, right?

Currently, I use Google Drive as a cloud service. It gives 5 GB of cloud storage space, and further you can increase it according to your needs by buying additional space from Google at a cheap price. You can download or access Google Drive from drive.google.com
