"Make-me-Asian" app removed from Google Play

Every week, we scan through the list of apps added to Google Play and apps removed from Google Play. It's normal that few apps are removed, but this week, following an uproar by Asian-Americans who said the game promoted derogatory stereotypes.

As of today (24.1.13), all apps like "Make Me Asian" "Make Me Fat" and "Make me Indian" are removed from Google Play store. Almost 10,000 people signed the petition in the social site change.org asking Google to take down these apps. Computer Support 24/7 checked for the link, and found it (and that's called love, people)- https://www.change.org/petitions/google-remove-the-racist-make-me-asian-make-me-indian-apps-from-googleplay. Asian American activists often complain that the community is depicted as being perpetually foreign, even though people of Asian heritage have lived in the United States for generations.
